Cookie Policy
We believe in radical minimalism. fShare uses exactly one cookie and one localStorage entry. Here's everything you need to know.
๐ข The short version: fShare uses one session cookie to keep you logged in, and one localStorage key to remember your theme preference (dark/light). We have zero advertising cookies, zero tracking cookies, and zero third-party analytics cookies.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.
Not all cookies are the same. This policy distinguishes between:
- Essential cookies โ strictly necessary for the website to function (login sessions)
- Preference storage โ local browser storage that stays on your device and is never sent to our servers
- Tracking/advertising cookies โ fShare uses none of these
2. Cookies & Storage We Use
Here is a complete inventory of every cookie and storage entry fShare uses:
That is the complete list. There are no hidden cookies, no third-party advertising cookies, no analytics beacons, and no social media tracking pixels.
3. What We Don't Use
We explicitly confirm that fShare does not use:
- Google Analytics or any behavioral analytics cookies
- Facebook Pixel or any social media tracking
- Advertising ID cookies or cross-site tracking
- Fingerprinting technologies as alternatives to cookies
- Third-party remarketing or retargeting cookies
- A/B testing cookies from third-party platforms
- Session recording tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.)
We believe your browsing behaviour is your business, not ours.
4. Third-Party Cookies
fShare loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file from Google, Google's servers may set their own cookies in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. This is a standard browser behavior we cannot prevent, but we have implemented font preloading to minimize these requests.
No other third-party cookies are introduced by the fShare application.
5. Managing & Disabling Cookies
Session Cookie
The session cookie (fshare_session) is essential. If you disable or delete it, you will need to sign in again on every visit. You can clear it by:
- Clicking "Sign Out" in the fShare app (recommended)
- Clearing cookies for this site in your browser settings
- Closing your browser if cookies are set to "session-only" in your settings
localStorage (Theme Preference)
The theme preference (fshare-theme) can be cleared via your browser's developer tools (Application โ Local Storage โ fshare.aquilainnovations.in) or by clicking the theme toggle in the app, which overwrites the value.
Browser-Level Cookie Controls
All major browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Here are links to instructions for common browsers:
6. Your Consent
Because fShare uses only one essential cookie (which is strictly necessary for the service to function) and one client-side preference item that is never transmitted to our servers, we do not require explicit cookie consent under most interpretations of GDPR and PECR.
Essential cookies are exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive because they are technically necessary to deliver the service you have requested. The localStorage theme preference never leaves your browser and is not a "cookie" in the legal sense.
If you are located in a jurisdiction with stricter requirements, you may contact us for more information.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we ever add new cookies to fShare, we will update this policy before doing so and clearly disclose what is new and why. We are committed to maintaining our minimal-cookie approach.

We're happy to explain anything in this policy in plain language.
